Have a Henna Training and Demonstration in Your Salon or Spa:
Henna Training and Demonstrations in a Salon or Spa:- A
demonstration in your salon or spa will teach you how to create a
variety of colors using natural powdered hair dyes. You will
learn what Henna, Indigo, Cassia, Buxus, and Amla are and how to
combine them to achieve a wide range of natural looking hair
colors. You will learn the proper mixing, application and
processing techniques as well as tips to convert your clients to
natural hair color. You will receive hands-on experience mixing
and applying henna to your model as well as information on why natural
hair dye is better for your clients, you, and the environment.
- A
demonstration in your spa will include the above as well as suggestions
for ways to encourage clients to remain in the spa receiving other
services while their henna is processing. You will be shown
how to use Amla powder as a wonderful and effective facial mask
treatment.
- The
chemicals in commercial hair color, specifically Paraphenylenediamine
(PPD) are known to be toxic and can be quite dangerous to you and to
your client’s health and in some cases even fatal if an allergic
reaction is severe. As a cosmetologist, you can work with these
chemicals for years and be fine, and then the toxicity reaches a
critical level and suddenly you can’t do color anymore. The same
thing can happen to your clients over the long term, or
immediately. If you can no longer do color, you can look for a
new career or you can learn to work with safe, natural plant dyes that
will not harm you or your clients. These dyes are safe to
use on pregnant clients, clients with cancer, or clients who are
sensitive to or have had an adverse reaction to chemical hair
dye.
- Even
if you are still able to use chemicals, people are always looking for
alternatives and salons are looking for more services to offer,
especially in these economic times. You can set yourself and your
salon apart by offering safe alternatives to chemical hair color.
These products are in demand and there are only a handful of
cosmetologists who know how to use them correctly and
effectively.
- As
cosmetologists, we are not given accurate information about henna and
other plant dyes in our training because of both a lack of information
and a preference for chemicals created by the chemical hair color
industry, who is not concerned about your health. The green
salon is the trend of the future because we are all more aware of what
we put in and on our bodies and are looking for safe, natural
alternatives. You can begin to create an awareness of this in
your salon right now and offer a service that everyone is going to want
before they even know they want it.
On-Site Training- Presentations and workshops are fun, informative, and interactive.
